As various countries in Europe begin to lift the lockdown rules, preparations are on the way to make local and international travels come back. Some European countries have begun to ease travel restrictions in preparation for summer vacation. Countries like Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Greece etc. have begun to open shops selling essential items, restaurants, bars, food and drink stores and shops selling non-essential items. The social distancing rules and the wearing of face masks still apply in these countries.
Different rules apply concerning the ease of travel restriction in European countries. People planning to travel to any of the European countries need to be aware of what rules apply and what they need to do before or during their travels. We have compiled the list of countries and the travel rules that apply as of the time of writing this article.
Austria | • Allows cross-border travel with nearby countries who have a low number of Coronavirus cases • From June 15, borders will be open to the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Slovakia and Switzerland • Airports in Vienna, Innsbruck and Salzburg are partially operational • Travellers must present a certificate that indicates they are corona virus-free or go through a 14-day self-isolation • It is compulsory that travellers wear face masks in public and in shops |
