Due to the increase in the number of Coronavirus disease in Germany, Hapag-Lloyd has decided to cancel the cruises previously scheduled for November.
In a post on their Facebook page, Hapag-Lloyd declared that they will have to suspend their cruises till the end of November.
“THANKS! Our restart with EUROPA 2 and the HANSEATIC inspiration has been a success so far. Our hygiene concept not only meets the highest expectations for the safety of passengers and crew, but also enables a relaxed and enjoyable time on board. Finding that balance was our aspiration. And the positive feedback from our guests confirms us to continue the chosen path as committed and attentively. We would like to thank everyone who has already accompanied us during this time – and traveled with our ships.
However, the current situation remains a huge challenge. Due to increasing case numbers, the federal government has decided on far-reaching measures to contain the infection situation in Germany. We strongly support this. This brings with it significant restrictions on public life, as well as the gastronomy, hospitality and travel. Our ships will also have to pause until the end of November. But we are already looking forward to welcoming you back on board soon – of course, in compliance with all necessary measures! Stay healthy.”
Judging from customers’ comments, we can that those who used the cruises during the pandemic were impressed by the safety measures put in place.
Michaela Partheimüller said, “We felt so comfortable and safe. When we were on the Hanseatic Inspiration in August. We hope so much that the Christmas trip with Europe2 will take place. The ship is the safest destination right now – according to our experience.”
Jan Uphues, another customer, also stated, “We’ve been on it twice since August. It was just amazing. You can enjoy every minute onboard even in these difficult times. The next trips are already booked and we can’t wait until then”.
